I’m working with a manufacturer to get a pendant design produced. The pendant will be gold plated and I want to make sure I’m using the best quality materials and best plating methods with the main goal being that the plating lasts as long as possible. What would you recommend as a base metal? Would you recommend a thick gold plating (2+ microns) bonded versus thinner plating with clear nano ceramic coating? Also, thoughts on 14k vs 18k vs pure?
