And another question!.. Any special requirements or
precautions for drawing down gold filled wire= ?
I need really fine wire for doll necklaces. I have a drawplate
and some gold fill wire. Thanks,
I just noticed that no one has answered your question. I have
never tried this but off hand I see no reason why it should be
any different than drawing down any other wire. Make sure it is
annealed and lubricated with Burr Lite or something simular. You
will need to make sure that you do not break the very thin
surface that is gold. If you do, tarnish can occur in those
areas.
