Going retail

Here is my 2 cents. When we moved in commercial area 8 years ago I
tried anything: yellow pages, flyers deliver on foot, flyers send in
mail, ads on the notice boards at restaurants and sport centers,
yellow pages, ads in papers like Penny Saver and wedding planners.
The only things that worked were yellow pages (small boxed add with
red colour in two lines) and individual flyers delivered on foot.
But majority of our clientele came trough the word of the mouth. And
they are loyal. Also we sponsor gifts for different occasions and
organizations. It is not very costly and make people hear about us.
Shows, that we go to 3 times a year are great for advertisement and
we always have people come to see us again at the shop. I will still
have to try serious newspapers but so far I find them to expensive.
Stay worm.
