Question for the list. I’ll be doing an art show in Atlanta in
early June. Does anyone know any good stone dealers in or around
Atlanta? For my average calibrated stones I don’t mind ordering
from a catalog without seeing them first. But, for the freeform
opals or other interesting stones, I prefer to see them in
person.

Tim Roark has his office in a building on the corner of 10th and
Juniper streets. He has quite a range of materials, I’ve been
buying from him for years.

Do you have a copy of the JCK directory? Even better, try the
internet. If I understand you correctly, you’re looking for
unusual carved mineralstones and faceted transparent stones. I
have a copy of the latest Tucson show but the exibiters are not
listed by their locations. If you need more info, let me know &
I’ll dig around for you.
