Geller Book for tradeshop pricing

I have a fellow who’s going to get my repair book and he’s going to
use it for tradeshop pricing to his retailers. I don’t keep track of
retailer vs. Tradeshop who buy my book.

If you’re a tradeshop and use my book, may I give you as a
contact/reference? The guy wants to see how a trade shop uses my
book?

Thanks

I would love to see what trade shop pricing/retail could be.

Ron

While I am not really a trade shop, I do accept trade laser work in
our shop, as I own the laser. I use David Geller’s book and charge
roughly 1/3 for trade work.

I am curious how others set their prices. Using “Geller” I do not
have to print and update my own price list, and I find the book’s
pricing quite fair and useful. My employer usually discounts the
retail slightly from the prices listed, which is his business, but I
do have to keep reminding him “to check the Geller price” when I see
prices start to drop at the take in counter.

Sales people are usually more resistant to Geller book prices than
the customers are!

Hi Ron

Typical tradeshop charges 40% or 50% of my book. They ill have to
adjust DOWN some prices, like stone setting as 40% of $28 to beads et
is too high for wholesale.

I already knew what most shops do with my book, this guy wanted to
actually chat with someone other than me about it.
