Gas & torches

G’day; can’t keep my nose out of things, can I? I have had no
trouble with propane, and use a simple Primus torch with 4 different
nozzles, one of which gives a thin, very hot flame. But when I want a
little real heat I use a tiny oxy coal gas torch with propane - the
torch came second hand in Britain about 45 years ago. In Britain and
NZ all domestic gases by law must have a foul-smelling ingredient.
They use ethyl mercaptan here - and it has the stench of rotten
cabbage - one doesn’t let that leak for long! Cheers,
