Dave,
I have written to the entire list
about this because they all deserve to know that some who believe in art and it’s relationship to our origins continue
to be oppressed by governments and of course it has been that way throughout
history.As to why some governments seek to control individuals,their words,
beliefs or artistic actions perhaps it is the nature of governments to lust for power.Hell I don’t know perhaps as some have said more resently
governments seek through propaganda to foster paranoia in
us all in an effort to allow them more power under the guise of
protecting the citizens from harm while all the while they subvert the very laws that give the individual citizen strength.It’s an old battle for me from my days as a journalist and police reporter.Really the battle was joined for me when the first Europeans came to this continent and sought
to make my ancestors Christians for those so-called heathen ancestors of
mine would therefore become more civilized for their “own good”.
My struggle is not with some imagined as being
thieves of Indian land but with very real ones.Carpetbaggers that contribute large sums of
money to the Democratic and Republican parties …It is just my
grandfather’s battle that his spirit passes to me through my religion.I
am glad to have inherited because I enjoy it for the spiritual
correctness and not the spoils and thus I have won already and the
greedy enemy is just too lustful for the spoils to show good sense and
retreat))) Really what I am faced with is just a group of people who
are trying to tar and feather me for holding to my spiritual beliefs and
heritage despite their attempts to subvert the governing document of
this nation.They fear me perhaps because I see beyond their rhetoric to
the greed that motivates them.Greed for professional acclaim is one and
greed to appear as the glorious savior of all of the people and of
course their greed for power over others and I could go on and
on in all honesty but then that may be the very type of thing governments would seek to silence.
