Hi Dave and Joel: Thanks for your response to my question
re: rivets. Your was very helpful and very
much appreciated. The rivet wire must be a special malleable
alloy? I have seen silver-looking tubing with this washer
look to the ends, perhaps 2.5mm id. So there must be a “rivet
tubing” also? And would one apply the same technique to create
the washer effect (save placement of the pit of course)? How
much longer than the thickness of the layers to be riveted
should the rivet tube (or wire?) be cut, generally, to hold
well enough?

Please excuse my tardy response but my free e-mailbox has
been inaccessible most all of this month…am way behind.

Susan
