I “won the lottery” when my application for grad school in the metalwork & jewelry program at UW-Madison was accepted. I was an eager student of Fred Fenster (AND J. FRED WOELL TOO!!!) from 1969-1971. Everything in this article is so accurate and it made me tear up. I have had a lot of good “things” in my 77 years but those 2 years in Madison were a standout. If I could, I would live them over and over…
