From what I’ve read about Prip’s flux, it is the best firescale
preventative but not the best flux for actual soldering. I plan to
use a different flux at the join and Prip’s everywhere else.
What is the best flux for hard-soldering sterling?
Janet, it depends on the size of the object. Small things will
solder easily enough with one of the liquid fluxes such as Battern’s
but larger ones need the white paste sort.
