Floor Sweeps

Our store just got done moving (after being in the same location
for ages) and MAN do I ever have alot of low grade floor sweeps.
Can anybody (who is not a refiner ;>) recommend a good company
for processing. I realize that most people probably would not be
comfortable answering this question but…I’m not shy.

PS Our move is why I haven’t been active on Orchid for awhile,
we’re all settled in and comfy now.

hi rick laspada,

i used pease and curran once and thought they treated me fairly.
over the years i’ve used one of those travelling guys for
polishings only. even though he is a detroit pistons fan, i
liked him, and gave him my business. pease and curran have been
after me for awhile so i thought i’d give them a try and wasn’t
dissappointed. they seem to enjoy a good rep. their # is in most
of the trades.

best regards,

geo fox

Hi Rick,

I use J.M.Ney in Ct. They will give you a fair shake and an
assay and pay approximately 93%(I think but it may be more)
minus the assay fee which is a flat rate. They are on the web.
You can take your return in cash, product, or gold coin. If you
are interested let me know and I’ll dig up their number for you.
My rep picks up and ships for me at their expense.

Regards,

Skip

I use G & S Metals, they’ve always been fair with me. Give
them a call for their fees at 800-852-3860. You can tell them I
referred you.

Hi Rick,

You might give Weber Gold Corp in Tucson a call, 520-747-5667.
I’m sure they’d be interested in discussing costs, retruns etc.

I have no connection with Weber Gold.

I heard that Hoover & Strong also has a refinerery service and
their prices are suppose to be really good… I have never
collected enough sweeps to ever go to them tho!!!
