Hi All, My gem and mineral club is holding its annual show in just a
week and a half (see below for details) and I want to invite anyone
and everyone who can to stop buy and check it out. If you do make
it, please look for me and say hi! I’ll be there all weekend. In
case you’re not familiar with Culver City, it’s part of the greater
Los Angeles area, about 15 minutes south of Westwood/Beverly
Hills/mid-Wilshire.

FIESTA OF GEMS ** JUNE 29-30 ** FREE ADMISSION & PARKING
The Culver City Rock & Mineral Club extends a warm invitation to you
to join us at this year’s Fiesta of Gems show featuring over 25
dealers of rocks, minerals, fossils, gems, jewelry, gifts and hobby
supplies, as well as exhibits, demonstrations, games, grab bags and
lots of prizes.
Our show theme this year is “Gems & Minerals of Afghanistan” and we
are pleased to welcome Bonita Chamberlin, author of “Gemstones of
Afghanistan,” who will be presenting slide programs at 1pm both days
of the show about her myriad adventures in that troubled country.
The first fifty people entering our show on both June 29 and June 30
will receive a free crystal specimen of Afghani kunzite (thanks to
Steve Solovieff of Freeform Creations).
Hours are 10am to 6pm on Saturday, June 29, and 10am to 5pm on
Sunday, June 30. The Fiesta of Gems is held at the Veterans Memorial
Auditorium, Overland Avenue and Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA.
