I recently came across a series of books in which the plots revolve
around gems. They’re by Elizabeth Lowell and concern a family of gem
dealers and jewelers. The books are : Amber Beach, Jade Island, Pearl
Cove, and Midnight at Ruby Bayou. Rated R for a fair amount of sex,
they nevertheless reflect a goodly amount of research and are very
interesting.
