The Lapidary Arts World has lost one of its pioneers.
Fern Jenkins died yesterday October 21, 1998. Fern, in 1970
co-authored one of the earliest books dedicated to Wire Work.
Fern and John were honored by CFMS at Monterey in June of this
year. A student they chose received a CFMS Scholarship.
Fern and John Jenkins were a formidable team annually at the
CFMS Earth Sciences Seminar at Zzyzx. Fern will be greatly
missed.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for November 1st at 3: PM at the
Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Redlands, 51 W. Olive
Avenue, Redlands, California.
