Faceted opal/mandarin garnet

Does anyone know where I can find 2.5 mm mandarin garnet or
mexican faceted opal? I only need two pieces and so far all of
my sources have none that small. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sharon

Try New Era Gems. They have smaller sizes in faceted Mexican
opal. Don’t know if they go that small or not, but they may be
able to direct you if they don’t. They also carry the most
incredible selection of different types of garnet rough I have
ever seen. Nice quality material at competative prices. They
offer a color catalog as well.

You were right. They were very pleasant and helpful and they do
have some orange grossular garnet which they are sending me.
They are also sending out a new sale flyer, including a page of
parcel sales, if anyone else is interested.

Thanks a bunch.

hi sharon,

stuller has your mandarin garnet, you’ll probably have to have
the mex opal faceted.

Sharon,
My gem dealer will be in town next week and he sometimes has the
mandarin garnets. If so, will pick them up and e-mail you.
They’re pretty cheap. Are brandy citrines the wrong color for
your project? I’ve been using those alot lately.

Are those mandarin garnets faceted or rough?
