Etching techniques

I’m looking for etching techniques to use on models for organic
rubber molds. I was checking out milling operations but I’d like to
take designs from a drawing and put them into metal and it doesn’t
seem like milling will work (Rastor to Vector graphics problems?). I
currently send out for photoetching but the people I work with take
too long to get stuff back to me and sometimes their work is messy.
I’m in Eastern Canada and looking for either a new way to do the
etching or someone new to do it for me. I’d like to find someone in
Canada or maybe in the US Northeast. Any ideas?
