I need a supplier of copper or brass plates to engrave. Can anyone
help? They need to be about 3.5 x 2" and I’ll need to order 50 or so
of them at a time. The reason? I’m now naming my pieces and labelling
the high quality cases with their title, materials and my signature.
Doing this and selling through art galleries adds 50 -100% onto my
prices at a nominal cost.
Tony, try www.glendo.com for the plates. They’re great people to
deal with. An alternative would be to see if your local sheet metal
supplier can provide you with clean surfaced 1-side material cut to
size for your needs. Tim Adlam, Adlam Engraving

If the dimensions are 3.5 inches (rather than mm) x 2 inches, Indian
Jewelers Supply is the place. Just buy sheet in the gauge you need
and ask for cuts in the size you need. The caveat is that your cuts
will need to measure 6" accumulative on one side, just as in ordering
precious metals.

Tony Try the Trophy Supply houses or may be a local trophy shop may
make a deal for you. Their plates come prefinished with a peel away
protective plastic on them so you can store for some time without
scratching.

I’d check out a local metal supplier to machine shops, they are good
sources for copper and brass plate and if they don’t shear it to size
for you they will know someone who does.
