Can anyone recommend a good book on enameling. I am especially interested in torch enameling. Thanks…Rob
My favorite enameling book is The Art of Enameling by Linda Darty. I don’t have it in front of me right now. I can’t remember if it has a section on torch enameling. Whenever I get a student who individually (not part of a class) wants to learn enameling, I have them read Linda’s book before we start. It’s very comprehensive and clear.

Thanks!..Rob
I just looked in our jewelry library at work. We’ve got a book on torch enameling. It’s called Mastering Torch-Fired Enamel Jewelry - the next steps in painting with fire by Barbara Lewis. It looks like she has 2-3 books on torch fired enameling.
I’ll admit that I’ve never looked at this book, so it’s not really a recommendation. But it looks fairly comprehensive.

Ricky Frank has quite a few videos on YouTube that’d be worth checking out. Cool Tools may have videos as well.
I’m not sure if Barbara Lewis has added to her style of torch firing enamels, but the original technique is to heat and dip. You may want to see if your local library has her books first.
Torch firing is great fun!
