Has anyone used vermiculite or perlite in their annealing pan?
I’ve been grappling with this one myself. I use a crockpot with
vermiculite. When I heard the dangers of vermiculite, I
switched to perlite. The perlite was AWFUL. SOOO dusty. Much
worse than the vermiculite. I posted the same question to this
board, and here is a copy of one answer I got that may interest
I’ve switched back to vermiculite. I’m just careful to always
wear my dust mask when I’m pouring or sifting the stuff.
