My gosh, how small the world is! I grew up in the Almaden valley (The
nicest part of the beautiful San Jose!). My brother and I spent the
best days of our lives exploring the ghost towns, tunnels, refineries
(there were two and a smaller third), and wonderful trails in those
hills. If you ever have a chance to spend a day in San Jose, you must
explore this area. The entire mining district is now a county park
called Quicksilver county park. It is a wonderful place to ride horses
(~150mi of trails), hike, mountain bike, or just experience the past
in the present. Forgive me for sounding like a reminiscent tour guide.
I now live a thousand miles away and have a fondness in my heart for
