Hello!

I have to restore a ring incorporating elephant hair. The hair I
have got is a bit thicker than the about 1 mill square channels it is
to go into. Has anyone got experience how to work it.

Take your strand of elephant hair and determine what area of it will
sit in the channel. You can then remove hair on these areas with a 6
inch file until such time that it fits SNUGGLY into the channel. If
having problems with the spring in the hair, you can soak it in hot
water until more pliable. This should take no more that about 15 or
20 minutes. The hair will swell so take this into consideration when
filing. Hope this helps.
