Hello Annette , Electoretching and Electroforming are 2 different things that do
the exact opposite. Electroetching is the removal of metal using a form of
stripping. Electroforming is a heavy plating process. While plating Silver and gold
without using Cyanide is being done successfully and the solutions are available
from various suppliers, These solutions do not work at all for Electroforming of
silver and gold. Acid copper on the other hand works very well for Electroforming
and has no Cyanide at all. I use this process often to build up models that have
been sent to me by designers / jewelers who have sent items that are too thin to
