Drill Sets

Stuller offers mm drill bits (19 bits from .5mm to 2.3mm in 1/10mm
increments. They do not, however, seem to offer sets, only each
size in 6 piece quantities.

These are tungtsen vanadium steel, not quite as good as high speed I
think, but they can easily be resharpened with cut off disks.

I was thinking of buying one pack of each size, six storage boxes,
keeping one set for myself and selling the other five for $35 ea.
If anyone would be interested in acquiring a set please contact me.
If I can get five participants I’ll get them ordered and distributed.

Conversely, if anyone knows where these are available as full sets,
I would appreciated knowing that.

Thanks,

I have something like this in what’s called a ‘61-80 set’, which is
a set of the Stubs’ gauge drills from no 61 down to no 80. These are
.013" (80) to .039" (61). Not exactly the sizes you want, but very
useful, if you can live with the non-metric sizes. These sets are
available from most engineers suppliers, particularly those
specializing in the hobby/model engineering area. Cost about a
tenner.

Just butting in here, but if it were I, I would just order the six
of each and keep them. Personally, I find the teensy bits very
difficult to resharpen well, and, regardless, they break very
easily. One doesn’t last very long, for me.
