WJA calls for Diva design contest entries
The Women’s Jewelry Association is calling for entries for its Diva
design competition.
The contest is open to all women who are U.S. residents, regardless
of whether they are employed in the jewelry industry or whether they
have formal design training. Entries are due April 15.
This year’s theme is the geometric shape of stars–and the winners
will be entrants who have used precious metals and gemstones to
create bracelets, necklaces, rings, pendants and earrings
incorporating the shape. Original color renderings of the design
should be drawn on white or light gray background. Retail prices of
the pieces cannot exceed $25,000.
The first place winner will receive $2,500, second place $1,000 and
third place $250. Winners will be announced June 4 at the JCK Las
Vegas show.
