When I was exploring guillotine shears, I read a post here on ganoskin (I think) where someone outlined how he or she set up a digital device to measure how much material was to be cut on a guillotine shear. I have spent a fair bit of time trying to find that post again, but have not been able to. Perhaps someone either remembers it or knows of some way to set something like this up?
some guillotine shears have a stop on the back side that can be used for repeated cuts. My DiAcro does.

Thanks, Yes, mine also has a back stop, but I rarely make repeated measurements. I can get by on how I do it using the ruler, but the digital method I’m referring to seemed a better, quicker, more accurate way of determining the cut amount.
