Dan: Could she mean a chain made in either a byzantine weave or a
box weave? I think I’ve heard one of those patterns called a bird’s
nest or a bird cage before…

the idiot’s delight because due to the complexity of it, the
inability to solder each and every link, you need to be an idiot to
enjoy it. Now, I am not calling you an idiot, I realize that an
awful lot of us do incredibly tedious work because we thoroughly
