FWIW, everyone I’ve heard of who makes invisibly set pieces either
worked at Van Cleef or was trained by someone who had worked at Van
Cleef.
Invisible setting requires both a highly accomplished jeweler, to
make the armature, and a highly accomplished lapidary, to cut the
stones to fit.
