Here at the college we use drugstore glycerin to remoisten the delft
clay if it becomes dry. kept sealed though, it keeps for a long
time. Two or three TBS should be fine per kilo. Also, we never
quench the clay, just pick out the burned bits and the rest goes back
in the zip-lock bag.
