I have a request for a size 2 1/2 channel set diamond band. She would
like 10 point stones set all the way around. Anyone out there have a
lead on a company the could produce the ring for me? Thanks, Janine in

Janine, a size 2 1/2 full channel set with 3mm stones will not be a
very attractive ring, nor would it be comfortable to wear. The inside
diameter of a size 2.5 is about 13.5mm. The ring needs to be 4.5mm
wide to accept the 3mm stones. It needs to be around 2.5mm in height
to have enough gold to set the stones. You end up with a ring that
is 13.5 inside x 18.5 outside x 4.5 wide. This is a chunky ring. If
the ring is for a child, it will need resizing within a short time.
That is not a task I would want to take on. If it is for an adult,
smaller stones would give a better balance. Just my two cents worth.
