Creating rivets - Moving parts

Hi there! Have you found a good source for mini washers? I haven’t had luck finding anything without getting them custom made.'
Thanks!

I would assume that you would have to by sheet or rod or tubing and cut them.

Maybe I haven’t zeroed in on this, but try the Lamp Stores. They have the most wonderful pieces, which can be pressed or forged into all sorts of wonderful shapes and ideas.

Flux925,

Are you wanting sterling silver washers? You may have to make those. I’d recommend using a Euro Power Punch (or equivalent; EPP is the brand of the one I have). The EPP has various size punches up to 1/4" – it cuts a disk and leaves a tiny divet in the center to help you either punch or drill a hole.

I think the point of the EPP is the hole it leaves, not the disk, but I keep the disks and have found them useful.

If you want other metals, there are several sources:

Reactive Metals

Micro Fasteners

Volcano Arts

All of those carry micro nuts, bolts, and washers.

Another solution is to slice off a thin bit of clear plastic surgical tubing, which is cheap and comes in different diameters/wall thicknesses.

Thanks will look into that

Good idea!

Thanks Trish, I did order from Micro Fasteners
