Craft Shows

Hi,

Can anyone help me identify craft shows where I might be able to
sell some handmade platinum and 18kt rings? Any and all
suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Chris- What area are you looking to show in? Go to a book store
with a good periodical section and buy the Crafts Report and
Sunshine Artist magazines. They list shows nationwide. Deb

there are many, many craft shows in this country but most aren’t
that good for highend jewelry. There are three good compendiums on
the market, ArtFair Sourcebook, Dr. Harris’s list and the Fairs and
Festivals book by the U. of Mass. extension program.

These books list and rate all kinds of craft shows and it may be
hard to figure ou;which ones are good for fine jewelry. You’ll also
find good by reading the Crafts Report monthly…very
useful info and good reviews of all kinds of shows.

The only guidebook that lists shows specifically for fine jewelry
designers is the one that my company publishes and it’s
accompanied by four more categories of marketing -
design competitions, trade shows, trade magazines and associations.
Further, the deadlines, dates and reminders for all of these shows,
fairs, applications, free publicity options, etc. are filled into a
calendar format so you can follow along all year and get your
marketing and PR done efficiently.

If you want more info on our Designers Annual Planning Guide
please email me directly at @FranklyCin. If you need to know
of a certain show in a certain area or whatever, I’d be happy to
make a suggestion.

good luck!

SUNSHINE ARTIST also has a web page . . . I don’t recall the exact
address, but I was able to find in through a search engine by
typing SUNSHINE ARTIST . . .

Speaking of the Harris list, I just found out that the 10th Annual
Edwards Place Fine Craft Fair placed in the top 45! I am so
excited about this. Let me know if you are interested or better
yet, it is also listed in the Craft Report for this month. Joy

want to have more direct contact with consumers interested in
fine handmade contemporary jewelry. Does anybody out there have
craft shows that they can recomend?

The trade magazine “Sunshine Artists”,I think out of Winter
Park,Florida lists all the craft shows and reports activity. You could
also ask on the craft newsgroups.Do a search on “crafts” on the
internet too. Some folks will list exhibitions as a draw to their
website. You can pick up some not listed in the magazines. Mark Liccini
