Copper coating to prevent tarnishing

Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if there is a product on the market for
protecting copper necklaces from tarnishing on the neckline?

thanks,
Patricia White

We have been using 5 light coats of automotive clear coat (acrylic
enamel) on flame painted copper. But recently we have found that it
is destabilized by insect repellant. It becomes sticky. Thinking
about what insect repellant does to a watch crystal, this makes
sense.

Rennaisance wax is possibly a good alternative if you have a piece
you can wax (weavings are nearly impossible to wax.

Any other suggestions would really be welcome.
