I know of a jewellery store owner who had the governments “scales
and weights” come to his store and check out his scales. His major
scale on his desk was out…(drum roll here) please…just one point
out of 400 carats…that is.01 pt melle out of only 40,000
pointers…they slapped a red big “CONDEMNED” sticker on that scale.
He must buy a newer and more accurate scale for his store, now!..he
is not a happy camper…MORAL of this! Check the validity an accuracy
of your scales…ain’t retail fun?..
