Someone wrote awhile back asking about the coloring of steel. I just read
a small blurb about a technique wherein one uses vegetable oil, random
coatings of flux, and heat to color steel. It also said that different
types of oil might be experimented with, though none other than vegetable
oil were specifically mentioned. Just thought I’d throw that out there…
