Colored gold properties?

Do all colors of gold have the same melting/flow/flask temps?

Thanks for the help.
Chris in Kansas City

No, all colors of gold do not have the same melting
temperatures. Each has its own, as well its individual set of
physical and mechanical properties: specific gravity (density),
solidus, liquidus, annealed hardness, cold worked hardness, age
hardness, tensile strength, yield strength, ductility,
malleability, ease of setting, etc. depending on the components
in the alloy. See pages 206 in Professional Goldsmithing for the
physical and mechanical properties of 17 common alloys of 14k
and 18k gold.
