Cold "enameling" with colored resins

Hello everyone,

When I first started making jewelry a few years ago, I struggled
with vitrious enamel (pardon the redundancy) for a few months and
ended up totally frustrated. It was just impossible for me to do
anything acceptable with this technique, perhaps partially due to the
fact that I did not own the right equipment (kiln) and that I am self
taught. Anyway, I was grateful that I could achieve similar results
with resin which is soooo much easier to master. The difficulty
involved in the enameling process is so great that I would never
dream of using the word enamel to describe something done with resin.
For this reason alone, I believe it is unfair to the enamelists and
misleading the public to do so. Just my two cents.
