Good day folks, I know I’m going to get some flack on this…and so
this pre-printed form. Why oh why…some of you will surely ask…why
oh why is Benjamin Mark saying the ruby is the March birthstone when
it’s not. Here’s the answer. The source(s) from which I gleaned this
week’s Tidbits mentioned the Ruby as the March birthstone. When
questioned…I looked a bit further into this. Some sources say the
Aquamarine is the March birthstone. Some sources say it’s the Jasper
or the Bloodstone. When stones are allocated the titles of Sentiments
of the Month…the Jasper and Bloodstone list as the Natal Stones for
March and the Ruby lists as the Talismanic gem for the same month. I
can only assume the creators of the Ram used the Talismanic gem as
their symbol for our third month. Go figure the power of belief
allocated to gems. It is–without question–beyond me. Yours,
