Christmas silversmithing

Hi!

Silver is at a middling decent price right now! I just several
ounces of Sunshine ingot, Idaho’s most famous silver. It had been
hard to find at the $19 spot in coin shops because people had been
hoarding for weeks, but then there suddenly was some!

Now I have enough to make lots of Christmas presents.

Who else is stocking up for the holidays?

Andrew Jonathan Fine

Hi Andrew,

I started my Christmas production 3 weeks ago. It feels a bit silly
to be thinking about it so far in advance but when you do custom,
wholesale, and retail it seems like you cant do enough planning in
advance.

Also this years resolution is to keep weekends for house work and
play time, advance planning seems to be helping with that a bit.

I hope you are having fun in your studio today! Christine

Andrew, My deadline for guaranteed Christmas delivery is October 7th
every year. I have been gathering for the past month or so for the
special pieces I will make for my shop. I will begin those the week
of August 20th. Going to take a long needed vacation first and come
back fresh ready to go! We will be visiting rock shops all over the
east coast on vacationso I am hoping to find some stones that we do
not have in our rock shop. We do have several tons of natural black
quartz drusy that my husband has began to cut and form for me. I know
that will be the the main stone I will be using on my personal
designs this season. Don’t forget to enjoy Christmas by working it
away!

I sure would love to have some of those stones. Do you ever sell any
of them?

Thanks,
Lona

Lona, Thank you for asking. We do sell it in cabachon form, loose
small freeform pieces and larger pieces of rough.

Please feel free to contact me off line.

Happy Monday!
