I remember there was a thread about broken prongs and the affect
that chlorine can have on gold. Does anyone know if there is a
similar or perhaps different negative effect on silver? Can
chlorine make silver brittle too? Linda M

I don’t think Chlorine with make silver brittle, but it will
cause the surface oxidize black very quickly.
