Chased Pewter

Pewter works

A short while ago I bumped across a web site showing some chased
pewter vessels done (if I remember correctly) by a nun, I think she
was teaching some kind of class. Can anyone recollect where I might
find this site.

I thought it was through a Ganoksin link, but I didn’t have any luck
tracking it down.

Hi Robert,

I’m on the editorial staff at Art Jewelry magazine, and I happened
to see your post today. We have featured the work of Sister
Rosemarita Huebner twice in our magazine. Her repoussed pewter
vessel (one of a series) is featured on page 98 in our January 2005
issue, and our May 2005 issue displays one of her handcrafted
plates–glass enamel on copper (also a series). She’s a metal-arts
teacher at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and an
extraordinary artist. She can be contacted at

Mount Mary College,
2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway,
Milwaukee, WI 53222.

She may or may not be the artist you’re looking for, but her work
seems very similar to what you describe.

Good luck in your search!
