Spoke to my mentor Jerry Harr at the Vista Gem and Mineral
Society meeting Thursday evening. Jerry makes many Roman style
fine silver chains per year. He is a super craftsman/designer,
teacher, mentor, retired-career Marine and a gentleman too.
Jerry’s comment on repair of the chain: Since the solder joint is
always in the center when the link is stretched, the joint is
hidden in the chain, " WRAP the broken ends around the nearest
link"
