It’s hard to believe that vacuum casting will produce more
detail and denser castings. If it did, every dental lab in the
world would be using it. We deal in .001" and if you think
jewelry takes a beating, imagine the stress a gold crown takes
in a year, and then multiply x 30+ for the life of the crown.
When carving a wax-up I noticed that I had a SMALL nick in the
blade of a carver. The ever so tiny ridge left by the nick was
totally reproduced.
