Caveat emptor - buyer beware

Help,

I purchased goods from a new york based supplier at Tucson Gem shows
and later had merchandise sent to me.

I was told it was returnable.

I sent it back to the supplier 8 weeks ago. After playing games
with me, telling me the right person was not there , they first
offered me a refund with a 35% restocking charge and then denied
ever receiving the merchandise. I do have a receipt from the post
office as the package was sent back with a “signature confirmation”.

This company will be in Tucson. anyone know what my rights are?

I would like to warn consumers to be careful shopping there and I
want my money back.

Any suggestions?

As they’ve already lied to you, why be shy about naming the dealer?
You’ll probably be surprised to learn that others have had similar
experiences with him., and you might save some prospective
purchasers a big headache. You could try contacting the Department
of Consumer Affairs in New York, and registering a complaint…
and if you still don’t get satisfaction, try www.ftc.gov/ for
on how to handle jewelry complaints. People who treat
customers like that don’t deserve to be in business. Dee
