Casting set-up for $150

I’ve had the darndest time finding any information on this set, but I have one. I also have the original instructions posted on my site if anyone needs them. Www.katadair.com/jewelcast

I learned how to cast at 18 in my parents’ kitchen using this kit…you would think that there would be something similar today, with the renewed interest in craft.

I can imagine someone today using this on their kitchen table, and somehow setting their house on fire, blaming the kit versus their own incompetence.

It was interesting to see that you only needed about 2 hours in the kiln to melt out the wax and harden the investment enough for casting. I also wonder what “jeweler’s bronze” is, like some copper-tinted zinc or really bronze, which has a pretty high melting point?
