Casting / Investment Table

Can you share with us in more details how to use the old compressor
from an Air Conditioner to make a vacuum table or a silent air
compressor. Is there a condenser or any electrical connections that
we have to lookout for etc. I have about three air conditioners from
my old apartment that I can use.

I tried one and when I cut the pipe the Freon came out and I do not
know how to proceed from there.

will appreciate your input. thanking you Kenneth

Hi Kennith, Please, don’t release Freon into the atmosphere. If any of
the other A/C units that you have are still sealed, take them to a A/C
repair shop where they can reclaim the Freon. I don’t know, but with
the price of Freon being high, they may even pay you.

This morning I posted some on making a compressor.

There is a fair chance that that is so. The type of refrigerant
(R-12) used in small compressors (window AC, refrigerator/freezer,
etc.) is the one that is considered the most troublesome, so it is
now the most expensive and restricted. Nearly all of it on the
market, now is recycled and/or reclaimed. There is little or no new
R-12 being made in the US.
