Check out jewelers tools and supplies on eBay Listings : Tools,
Workbenches
There are hundreds of items there and there is casting equipment on
there pretty frequently. I bought a brand new $1200 Kerr oven for
$380, and 2 Busch R5 series laboratory vacuum pumps which sell for
$2000 new for $200 each, as well as other miscellaneous tools. It is
also a perfect way to sell anything you might wish to get rid of and
maybe even make some profit on
Your suggestion is a good one . I have saved $ the same way on
appliances; fridge, dishwasher, even riding mower, however, my
business is mostly used jewelry tools (some new equip). I feel like
you have criticized ALL Used dealers when we are not all crooks.
Hi Jay at Jeweltools… Sorry, no such criticism was intended … as a
matter of fact, in my previous statement , it states “machinery
dealers” … also on ebay…don’t have warranty’s or even know for
sure that the equipment is in perfect working condition. You are a
jewelry tools and jewelry machinery dealer… There is a fairly big
difference … Since you sell machines and tools related to
jewelry manufacture. You have the knowledge to know what is in working
condition and you offer a warranty. So , by this statement, and by
your email name, it is fairly clear that you do not fall in the same
category. You are a jewelry equipment supplier!
Those I am referring to are not. They sell used machines that they
have usually picked up from auctions . The machinery they sell is
usually turned on to see if it works , but not actually tested. This
is important in the case of ultrasonics that can make all the proper
noises without a solution in them and other machinery such as vacuum
pumps that suck… but really suck because they don’t achieve the
vacuum they achieved when they were new !repairing these types of
machines can cost more than the used purchase price.
In any case, Please accept my apologies as you were not the intended
party and the was related to saving the Orchidians from
spending /wasting money on equipment that had no warranty and no
returnability if it did not perform. Best wishes, Daniel Grandi
