I don’t know if you have a university near you, but here in Eugene
(home of the Ducks) there is the U of O Craft Center where you can
buy a membership per semester. This gives you access to all the tools
there.
In the case of the Craft Center, this includes complete jewelry
studio, woodshop, pottery studio, glass shop, print making, weaving
area etc etc.
By the way, their rolling mill is bolted to a large stump which was
quite sufficient in keeping it solid while rolling out sheet.
