[Call for Entries] Making Metal Beads

Making Metal Beads
by Pauline Warg

Lark Books seeks images of handmade contemporary metal beads for
publication in the gallery section of a how-to book tentatively
titled “Making Metal Beads,” by Pauline Warg. This book is slated for
release in the fall of 2006. We wish to receive images of not only
individual metal beads, but bead groupings and metal beads as
elements in a finished piece of jewelry. Diverse techniques and
styles are desired, including but not limited to: transformed
commercial seamless beads, beads made from tubing, soldered
double-dome beads, cold-connected beads, fused ones, and those made
in hydraulic presses. We accept high-quality transparencies, 35-mm
slides, and high-resolution digital images. The deadline for
submitting is August 19, 2005; to get more details and entry forms,
please visit our website at

Greetings!

I submitted a couple of images for possible inclusion in this book,
and have not heard anything. Can you let me know where it stands?

Thank you,
Noel Yovovich

Dear Noel,

I submitted a couple of images for possible inclusion in this
book, and have not heard anything. Can you let me know where it
stands?

We typically mail letters of notification after the book has been
laid out, in order to be as accurate as possible. Please have
patience, as we’re not yet at that point.

Warm wishes,
Nathalie Mornu, Associate Editor
Lark Books

Thank you, Nathalie,

I didn’t intend to send my inquiry to Orchid, and definately didn’t
expect it to get a reply, since I miss-sent it! I will try to be
patient (not my strongest suit).
