Buying flex shaft or Dremel

Dear Lynn, I would highly recommend the flex shaft. In the long run I
believe you will save yourself a lot of time, hassle and money. The
flex shaft is usually operated with a chuck mechanism for holding
bits. This type of closing allows a lot of variation in the size
(diameter of shaft) of the bit that can be used in the chuck. Also the
flex shaft is easy to disassemble for cleaning, lubricating and
replacing parts. You can have one flex shaft motor and use a number of
different hand pieces with it. You will want to give your self the
most versatility, power and long life of tool as possible.

The Dremel is a great tool but may not suit your longrange needs as
well as a flex shaft.
