I just came across Bruce Knuth’s excellent books for jewelers in
print on demand at a deep discount from earlier versions.

His book “Gems in Myth, lore and legend” is the only one to use
cross cultural and comparative views on the meanings of gems, and
also have the science right. A must read for store staff as well as
jewelers.
And his ‘Jewelers Resource’ remains one of the unknown gems of the
industry for working jewelers. I’m a real fan of his work.
